Kristina Gomez
Kristina Gomez holds a Bachelor's
degree in English Literature from Carthage College where she graduated
Magna Cum Laude with minors in Religion and Classical Studies. After
graduation Kristina spent one year serving in the AmeriCorps*VISTA
(Volunteers in Service to America) program, working with the Wisconsin
Department of Public Instruction's Community Learning Partnership team
to close the achievement gap between low-income and minority students
and their peers in Milwaukee, WI through family-school and community
partnerships. Additionally, Kristina assisted in the development
of a mentoring initiative, Mentor Kenosha-Racine, spearheaded by the
University of Wisconsin-Parkside to support mentoring programs
throughout Racine and Kenosha counties. Kristina is a
lifelong Wisconsin resident who enjoys traveling, public service,
cartography, and concerts. Most of all she is looking forward to
beginning the graduate program in Library Studies at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison.
