Kristina Gomez

studentsKristina Gomez holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Carthage College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with minors in Religion and Classical Studies. After graduation Kristina spent one year serving in the AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) program, working with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Community Learning Partnership team to close the achievement gap between low-income and minority students and their peers in Milwaukee, WI through family-school and community partnerships.  Additionally, Kristina assisted in the development of a mentoring initiative, Mentor Kenosha-Racine, spearheaded by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside to support mentoring programs throughout Racine and Kenosha counties.   Kristina is a lifelong Wisconsin resident who enjoys traveling, public service, cartography, and concerts.  Most of all she is looking forward to beginning the graduate program in Library Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
